These terms are for the early-access version of Tose Connect and may be updated as features launch.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tose Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. About Tose Connect
Tose Connect is a student-first marketplace where people can offer services, hire trusted talent, learn real skills, and build income opportunities. We provide a platform for connecting buyers and sellers but are not a party to the agreements between users. We facilitate transactions but do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of Tose Connect, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on Tose Connect.
4. Seller Responsibilities
If you offer services on Tose Connect, you agree to:
- Accurately describe your services and qualifications
- Deliver services as agreed with buyers
- Communicate professionally and respond to inquiries promptly
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not misrepresent your skills, experience, or the services you provide
- Maintain the quality standards expected on the platform
5. Buyer Responsibilities
If you purchase services on Tose Connect, you agree to:
- Provide clear and accurate requirements for services
- Pay for services as agreed
- Communicate respectfully with sellers
- Provide honest feedback and ratings
- Not request services that are illegal or violate our policies
6. Payments, Fees, and Refunds
Tose Connect may charge fees for certain services or transactions. When local payment integrations become available:
- All fees will be clearly disclosed before you complete a transaction
- Payments are processed through secure third-party providers
- Refund policies will be determined based on the specific transaction and circumstances
- Disputes between buyers and sellers should first be resolved directly between the parties
We may assist in mediating disputes but are not obligated to do so. Escrow protection features are coming soon.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Tose Connect to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Offer or request illegal services
- Spam or send unsolicited messages
- Circumvent our payment systems
- Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
- Scrape or collect user data without permission
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. In-App Communication
Tose Connect provides messaging features to facilitate communication between users. You agree to use these features responsibly and not to share contact information to circumvent the platform until a transaction is confirmed. We may monitor communications to ensure compliance with our policies and to protect users from fraud or abuse.
9. Ratings and Reviews
Users may leave ratings and reviews after completed transactions. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experiences. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines, including those that are defamatory, fraudulent, or irrelevant. Manipulating the rating system through fake reviews or incentivized feedback is prohibited.
10. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in prohibited activities, or pose a risk to other users or the platform. We will provide notice of suspension when possible, but immediate action may be taken in cases of serious violations. You may appeal account suspensions by contacting support@toseconnect.com.
11. Limitation of Liability
Tose Connect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claims related to the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any services offered by users.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform or sending you an email. Your continued use of Tose Connect after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
